How to Bind or Reset Google Authenticator?

The Time-based One-Time Password Algorithm (TOTP) is an algorithm that computes a one-time password from a shared secret key and the current time. It combines a secret key with the current timestamp using a cryptographic hash function to generate a one-time password, changing every 30 seconds.

How to bind Google authenticator?
1. Enter https://www.viabtc.com, then go to [Settings]>[Account Settings].

2. Click "Set Up" under [Google Authenticator].

3. Download the Google Authenticator app and click [Next].

4. Click [+] in the Google Authenticator app to scan QR code or enter the 16-digit Secret Key, and fill in the blank with a 6-digit GA code generated. Enter GA code and click [Next].

5. Back up the 16-digit Secret Key on the screen to and click [Confirm] to complete the binding.

How to reset the Google Authenticator?

Method 1: Use the backed-up 16-digit Secret Key and reset it by yourself.

Open the Google Authenticator app on your phone, and click [+] in the app to scan the QR code on a website or enter Secret Key to reset the Google Authenticator.

Method 2: If you have bound both the mobile and Google Authenticator, you can reset it by yourself.

Please use the SMS verification code to log in and click [Change] under [Google Authenticator] to reset the Google Authenticator yourself.

Method 3: Reset it by yourself via the self-service security tool link.

1. Click [Lost Google Authenticator].

2. Read the instructions carefully and click [Got it and proceed].

3. Upload the required information described on the page and click [Confirm].

(1) The system will automatically match the pertinent data you need to provide with your account status, including email screenshots, deposit or withdrawal records, mining information, etc.

(2) If the page shows Submit Tikcer, please submit the ticket and we will help you reset the Google Authenticator.

4. The request for resetting GA will be reviewed within 7 working days after submitting the documents. Once approved, the GA will be unbound directly.

Note:
The withdrawal service will be suspended for 48 hours after GA is reset successfully.
