There are 3 payment methods available in ViaBTC: PPS+, PPLNS, and SOLO.
What do they mean? How does the fee rate differ?
1. PPS+
PPS+ (Pay Per Share Plus) is an enhancement of the conventional PPS method, with an additional allocation of miner fees. Under PPS+ mode, the pool pays the miners according to each valid share they submit – just like the pool is hiring miners, and the pool pays them. As the mining pool, instead of miners, bears all risks of bad luck and orphan blocks, hence the pool will charge high fee rate relatively. Miner fees will be allocated to miners via PPLNS method as below.
2. PPLNS
Under PPLNS (Pay Per Last N Shares), the profits are calculated based on the number of shares miners contributed to the pool in the last N difficulty rounds whenever a block is found. Meanwhile, miner fees will be allocated to miners, too. The pool charges a relatively small fee for daily operation and maintenance. With PPLNS, miners’ payout is related to the blocks mined out. Therefore, miners may face unstable yields, but they will enjoy higher profits in the long term.
3. SOLO
If users choose SOLO payment method, all of block rewards will be allocated to the miner who mined the block independently. The pool charges a very small fee for daily operation and maintenance.
You may choose the most suitable payment method according to your needs.
ViaBTC pool will charge different proportions of fees varying from different mining modes. Please visit Fees for more information.
