Introduction
ZEC Zcash
Homepage Explorer Wallets Exchanges
Zcash is a decentralized and open-source cryptocurrency that offers privacy and selective transparency of transactions. Zcash payments are published on a public blockchain, but the sender, recipient, and amount of a transaction remain private. Zcash is based on peer-reviewed cryptographic research, and built by a security-specialized engineering team on an open source platform based on Bitcoin Core's battle-tested codebase. Its improvement over Bitcoin is the addition of privacy. Zcash uses advanced cryptographic techniques, namely zero-knowledge proof, to guarantee the validity of transactions without revealing additional information about them.
Zen Horizon

Horizen is a sidechain platform built on a distributed, secure, and private architecture.
Horizen’s native cryptocurrency, ZEN, is mined using the Equihash algorithm and has a total mineable supply of 21 million. ZEN can be mined with GPU cards and ASIC miners.
Applicable Miners
ASIC miners and GPU mining (AMD/NVIDA) are applicable for both ZEC/ZEN mining.
Supported ASIC-compatible machines:
Antminer(e.g. Z11、Z9 and etc.)
Innosilicon (e.g. A9+, A9++ and etc.)
Payment Methods
1. Choose ZEC payment method in ViaBTC (How to Choose the Optimal Payment Method (PPS+, PPLNS, SOLO)?)
2. "ZEC Mining" and "Smart Mining" are available for ZEC on ViaBTC, and the smart mining supports [One-click Switch] and [Smart Mining].
Mining Setup
Method 1: ASIC Miner
1. Configure stratum URL
(1) ZEC Mining URL:
stratum+tcp://mining.viabtc.io:3002
stratum+tcp://mining.viabtc.io:302
(2) ZEC/ZEN Smart Mining URL:
stratum+tcp://mining.viabtc.io:3003
stratum+tcp://mining.viabtc.io:303
2. Create Worker
Create a worker in the form of "userID.workerID" and set any password for it. WorkerID should consist of numbers and lowercase letters within 64 characters.
E.g. If your user ID is viabtc, your worker name could be "viabtc.001". Password is optional.
3. Configure Mining
Take Antminer as an example here. Log in to your Antminer first, click “Miner Configuration” and enter details as required on the page. Click “Save & Apply” when you finish setup. To ensure stable mining, we recommend users set multiple ports. When one of them fails to connect, the miner will be automatically switched to the next port and continue mining.

Method 2: GPU Mining - Nheqminer
1. Download Software
URL: https://github.com/nicehash/nheqminer/releases/download/0.5c/Windows_x64_nheqminer-5c.zip
2. Configure Software
(1) Mining with AMD Graphic Cards
Unzip it to a separate folder and find "sAMDmining.bat".
Open it with TextPad or any applicable editor and re-edit the file:
nheqminer -l mining.viabtc.io:3002 -u username.workername -p x -od 0,1,2,3,4,5 -t 0
Note: Please change your username into the one used for your main/sub account in ViaBTC, worker name can be anything at your preference.
Click [Save] to save your current settings.
(2) Mining with NVIDA Graphic Cards
Find "sNvidamining.bat", open it with TextPad or any applicable editor and re-edit the file:
nheqminer -l mining.viabtc.io:3002 -u username.workername -p x -od 0,1,2,3,4,5 -t 0
Note: Please change your username into the one used for your main/sub account in ViaBTC, worker name can be anything at your preference.
Click [Save] to save your current settings.
(3) CPU Mining
Find "sCPUmining.bat", open it with TextPad or any applicable editor and re-edit the file from the second line:
nheqminer -l mining.viabtc.io:3002 -u username.workername -p x
Note: Please change your username into the one used for your main/sub account in ViaBTC, worker name can be anything at your preference.
Click [Save] to save your current settings.
3. Deploy Mining
Double click "startxxxxmining.bat" according to the corresponding software (CPU, AMD Graphic Cards and Nvida Cards) to start mining ZEC.
Note: If the workers can’t be detected by using port of 3002, please try to use ports of 302.
Method 3: GPU Mining - Genoil
1. Download Software
URL: https://github.com/Genoil/ZECMiner/blob/master/releases/genoil-zec-miner-0.6.2.zip
2. Configure Software
Unzip it to a separate folder and find "start.bat".
Open it with TextPad or any applicable editor and re-edit the file:
genoil.exe -c stratum+tcp://mining.viabtc.io:3002 -u username.workername -p z -i 20 -P 0
Note: Please change your username into the one used for your main/sub account in ViaBTC, worker name can be anything at your preference.
Click [Save] to save your current settings.
3. Deploy Mining
Double click "start.bat" to start mining ZEC.
Note: If the workers can’t be detected by using port of 3002, please try to use ports of 302.
Monitoring & Earnings
After the miner has been stabilized for around 10-15 minutes, you can check the operation status and profits via Workers and Earnings page on Pool. You can also download ViaBTC App to view the related data at any time.
Payout
1. Auto Withdrawal (ZERO fee and unified payment every day between 10:00 and 18:00 UTC+8)
2. Normal Transfer (Transfer anytime but the fee is required)
3. Inter-user Transfer (ZERO confirmation and fee)
4. Transfer to CoinEx (ZERO confirmation and fee)
Why do I need to set multiple ports?
We recommend that users set multiple ports to ensure stable and sustainable mining. Should one of them be inactive, the miner will switch to the next one automatically.
If my miner is disconnected, how to fix it?
The status will become active after the miner keeps running for 10 to 20 minutes.
If the worker keeps producing invalid shares, please check your settings on the dashboard.
If the issue remains unresolved after checking, feel free to send us a ticket.
